Franklin Wins Title; Yow Takes Rookie Honors

Dennis 'Rambo' Franklin took the Carolina Clash Championship for the 2nd year in a row. He now has the title as the 2011 Carolina Clash Champion and will receive the $10,000 payoff at the 2011 Carolina Clash banquet. Rambo ended the season with 2 Carolina Clash victories, 11 top 5's, and 15 top 10's. Rambo's worst finish for the season was a 12th place finish at Fayetteville back in April. Rambo ended the season with an average finish of 5.117. During the 6 JE Pistons Roush/Yates Performance Parts Chase races, Rambo had a 4.33 average finish. The Carolina Clash banquet is scheduled for January 28, at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Country club.

In the Klotz Lubricants ROY race, Travis Yow picked up the 2011 Roy of the Year title in his first full season in a Super Late Model. Yow also finished 8th in the "JE Pistons Roush/Yates Chase for the Championship."
