36th Annual Gaston County Shrine 100 Next Tuesday Night August 12th at Carolina Speedway
The 36th Annual ‘Shrine 100’ will take place this Tuesday night August 12th at Carolina Speedway.
This years’ version of the race, used to raise money for crippled children has the potential to be one of the largest ever with a record purse and a chance for a Super Late Model team to walk out with $4,500.
NASCAR Sprint Cup star David Ragan will also be on hand to sign autographs for fans as well as having his AAA Ford Fusion show car on display.
“We are very honored to be a part of the annual Shrine 100,’ said Carolina Speedway Promoter Clint Elkins. “The Shrine Club has been working very hard to promote this race and with the addition of David Ragan it should be one for the record books.”
Four exciting dirt track divisions will be on hand with the 850+ horsepower Super Late Models being the headliner. Also on the card will be the GM Performance Late Models, Street Stock and Pure Stock Fours.
Gates open at 5:00 with racing at 8:00 PM. For more information visit www.carolinaspeedway.net or www.gastoncoutyshrineclub.com .
