The championship title was worth $15,000. Ferguson had a successful year with the Ultimate Super Late Model Series including one victory on October 1st at Cherokee Speedway in the "Stick Elliott Memorial". It was a close race all season for the championship and Ferguson ended the points battle with 370 points. In the end Ferguson won the title by just one point over defending series champion Casey Roberts of GA.
